What the labels mean

Ad · Amazon affiliate link means we may receive commission if you follow the Amazon link and complete a qualifying purchase. It normally does not increase the price you pay.

Ad · affiliate link is the equivalent label for another approved retailer or provider programme.

Ordinary retailer and provider links do not carry a “non-affiliate” badge. We label links when they can earn us money; otherwise the useful thing is simply where the deal is available.

How rankings work

Commission rate, cookie length and programme relationship are excluded from deal scoring and editorial verdicts. A deal can rank highly whether or not its link earns commission. A retailer cannot pay to change “we’d wait” into “looks good”.

Amazon UK is the first affiliate programme enabled for this site. Amazon links are labelled beside the action and contain our Associates tracking ID. Other retailer and provider links are ranked under exactly the same rules.

Amazon links go directly to Amazon UK. We do not automatically open Amazon, hide the destination behind a shortened or cloaked link, or add our Amazon tracking ID to another retailer’s URL.

Referral links

Consumer refer-a-friend links are not used on the public site unless the programme explicitly permits commercial publication. Conditional referral rewards are never subtracted from the guaranteed headline price.
